We are a part of the Digital Acceleration org that enables Digital businesses like Prime Video, Books, Music, Appstore, Audible and Games to launch new business lines and products. We are building next generation Royalties and Vendor Payment solutions that will enable Amazon Digital businesses to automate royalty calculation, payment and accounting processes while meeting regulatory requirements. We have just the right space for you to hit the ground running and fuel your growth!A day in the lifeIn this role, you will:- Work as a technical leader within the team, owning an important track in the new program- Independently define the architecture for an important track in the Next Gen financial automation program and will develop multiple new services- Influence the technical direction of other teams, both within the Digital Acceleration organization and in partner businesses- Work with state of the art technologies in the AWS, Big Data and Open Source spaces and sometimes even build your ownWe are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Vancouver, BC, CANBASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience- Experience programming with at least one software programming languagePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- 2+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
