Summary:Safely manufactures high quality pharmaceutical products according to established schedules.Essential Functions: Processes/manufactures products in accordance with written processing orders. Prepares manufacturing areas and equipment for the production of pharmaceutical products. Cleans processing equipment and rooms in accordance with written Standard OperatingProcedures (SOPs) and established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Ensures product quality meets the standards of Patheon, our clients, and applicable regulatoryagencies including, but not limited to the Health Products and Food Branch Inspectorate (HPFBI),United States Food & Drug Administration (FDA), and European Medicines Agency (EMEA). Follows the required Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) and Good ManufacturingPractices (GMP) requirements.Maintain a safe working environment and report potential hazards. Perform alternating or rotating shift workREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSEducation:High school diploma/General Educational Development (GED) Certificate is required.Experience:Minimum 1 year experience in pharmaceutical, food or cosmetic related manufacturing.Equivalency:Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Ability to maintain records of activities as instructed. Ability to follow instruction with attention to detail. Abilityto lift up to 40 lbs. Works well with limited supervision in a team environment. Knowledge of GoodManufacturing Practices and safety standards. Mechanical interest/aptitude. Proficiency using MicrosoftOffice software applications. Proficiency with the English language.Standards and Expectations:Follow all Environmental Health & Safety Policies and Procedures. Work collaboratively with fellow teammembers, modelling positive team principles and partnering to meet project and departmental objectives.Carry out all duties within strict compliance to Patheon quality systems SOP's and Good ManufacturingPractice (GMP). Maintain workspace in a clean and orderly fashion. Actively engage in and adhere todepartmental systems in order to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow (visual management, schedulingsystems, etc.). Be client and patient conscious at all times. Understand Key Performance Indicators andstrive to improve the performance of the team by identifying areas for system improvements and engage inproblem solving. Models positive thinking and is open to change, motivating the team to adapt to shifts inpriorities and new ways of working. Proactively identify areas for improvement in the execution ofprocedures. Communicate risks to timelines in a proactive manner. Consistently strives to improve skillsand knowledge in related field.Physical Requirements:Position requires ordinary ambulatory skills and physical coordination sufficient to move aboutmanufacturing/office locations; ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch periodically for prolonged periods Page 2 of 3of time; manipulation (lift, carry, move) of light to medium weights of up to 40 pounds; arm, hand and fingerdexterity; visual acuity to operate equipment, and read materials for prolonged periods of time; ability to sit,reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear for prolonged periods of time. Usually in a comfortableenvironment but with regular exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort from such thingsas dust, loud noise, bright lights, fumes or odour. Use of Personal Protective equipment is required andmay include any of the following: safety glasses, safety shoes, lab coat, gloves, hair net, beard cover, safetyapron, respirator.
