Responsibilities What your day will look likeProject Management & Design Manage a variety of Municipal Drainage projects from conceptual design through contract administration.Act as the Engineer of Record in accordance with the Municipal Drainage Act.Lead Dillon’s technical staff in the delivery of projects for a variety of clients (particularly in drainage related projects) across the company.Provide technical expertise on a variety of projects as part as part of various multidisciplinary teams (including project engineers, planners, technologists, .Liaise with multidisciplinary project teams (including transportation, municipal and structural engineers, transportation systems planners, planners, environmental scientists and technical support staff).Report writing, including detailed design, drawing preparation, cost estimating, preparation of specification and assessment schedules and attendance at site meetings and council meetings.Learning & Development Commit to self-development and ongoing learning and professional development.Input to the career development of junior staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoring.Contribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees. Qualifications What you will need to succeedA degree in civil or environmental engineeringLicensed to practice as a professional engineer in Ontario, or eligible to be licensed within six monthsA minimum of 5 years' professional experience, preferably in the consulting industryExperience working under the Municipal Drainage ActProven leadership and business development capabilities Experience Experience in research using historical reports and calculation of material quantities for estimation purposesKnowledge and abilities in surveying and related skills, policies, guidelines and permitting processes related to land drainageProficiency in the use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D softwareStrong working knowledge of the Microsoft OfficeIn-depth understanding of business issues associated with consulting engineering and planningExperience at leading stakeholder meetingsExceptional communication (verbal and written) skills are essentialWhy choose DillonDillon is powered by people who are technically proficient, passionate about socially important projects, and motivated to deliver superior, tangible results.
