Design and Implement Comprehensive Training Programs: Lead the creation and execution of dynamic training solutions that enhance employee performance, drive operational excellence, and ensure regulatory compliance across all departments. Ensure Regulatory and Industry Compliance: Develop and oversee training programs that meet all relevant regulatory standards, including Canada Labour Code requirements, health and safety, transportation regulations, and food safety certifications, ensuring Erb Transport remains compliant and competitive. Collaborate on Training Needs Assessments: Partner with department heads and stakeholders to conduct thorough needs assessments, identifying skill gaps and aligning training initiatives with business goals and employee development. Lead Instructional Design and Development: Create innovative learning material, from e-learning modules to interactive workshops, ensuring engaging, effective, and practical learning experiences for all employees and all learning styles. Facilitate Engaging Training Sessions: Deliver high-impact training sessions, both in-person and virtually, leveraging diverse teaching methodologies to cater to different learning styles and maximize retention, as needed. Manage Learning Management System (LMS): Administer and optimize the LMS to ensure seamless tracking of employee progress, accurate record-keeping, and detailed reporting on compliance and development metrics. Evaluate and Enhance Program Effectiveness: Utilize data analytics and employee feedback to assess the impact of training programs, continuously refining and improving initiatives to achieve optimal learning outcomes. Drive Continuous Learning and Innovation: Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in adult education to introduce cutting-edge training strategies that foster a culture of continuous learning and development. Provide Leadership and Foster Collaboration: Lead the training team with a focus on mentorship and professional growth, while cultivating strong cross-departmental relationships to ensure a unified approach to learning and development. Oversee Budget and Resource Management: Manage the learning and development budget, ensuring cost-effective yet impactful training solutions that meet both company objectives and employee needs. All other duties as required. Who Are We Looking For? Degree, diploma or certification in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, Training, Adult Education, or Learning and Development is preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in learning and development, instructional design, or a similar role, preferably within the transportation, logistics, or supply chain sectors. Proven experience leading training initiatives, including designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs. Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as Canada Labour Code, health and safety standards, food safety, and transportation compliance is a strong asset. Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS), e-learning platforms, and content development tools. Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and emerging trends in learning and development. Data analysis skills to evaluate program effectiveness and report on key metrics. Strong leadership abilities, with experience in collaborating cross-functionally. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in an engaging and understandable way to various audiences. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines. Experience managing budgets and resources for training and development initiatives. Creative problem-solver with the ability to adapt training programs to meet evolving business needs.
