Under the authority of the supervisor, you will be responsible for informing and advising customers on flights, hotel reservations and car rentals in order to sell travel services that meet their needs and expectations. This is a great opportunity for travel agents to secure additional experience in an administrative setting. Advantages Permanent Full time position 8:30 to 4:30 or 9 to 5 Medical and dental benefits Salary $21/ hr Hybrid position Gym on site Group insurance plan Pension plan Telemedicine Responsibilities - Act as a travel consultant for the commercial section; - When required, act as a travel consultant for the vacation section; - Responsible for the operations of our corporate clients; - Take phone calls and/or execute reservation requests received by email; - Advise clients on itinerary choices and other products offered; - Advise customers on travel arrangements such as: information on reservation -and cancellation policies; - Make reservations in the computerized electronic ticketing system; - Plan itineraries for individuals and groups with our corporate clients; - Make transportation and accommodation reservations for our corporate clients; - Confirm reservations and issue itineraries and electronic tickets for our corporate clients; - Assist the supervisor with ticket invoicing as well as researching reimbursement files, as needed and appropriate; - Participate in Transat training and presentations; - Participate in the presentations of the different service providers in order to keep up to date on new developments; - Perform the weekly filing of files; - Perform the annual filing of files for the archives; - Any other related tasks requested by the immediate supervisor. Qualifications - A minimum of two (2) years experience as a travel consultant; -Travel and general knowledge, including knowledge of history and geography, are important assets; - Certified by the Canadian Institute of Travel Counsellors; - Customer service and sales skills; - Professional attitudes and behaviour (teamwork skills, autonomy, dynamism, interpersonal skills, honesty, versatility, initiative, organizational skills, etc.); - Must be able to communicate in French and English, both orally and in writing. - Fluency in other languages is an asset; - Ability to conduct monetary transactions; - Knowledge of the tourism industry and customer needs, as well as tourism products (cruises, tours, etc.); - Basic computer skills, including the computerized reservation system (Apollo) and the Internet.
