Project Procurement Manager - Kingston area

One of our top partners in the Electric Vehicle space is preparing to build a facility that will be a crucial part of Canada’s Electric Vehicle (EV) supply chain in Kingston area. Our client is looking for a Project Procurement Manager who will be responsible for the ensuring the project procurement strategy and processes at various stages of the project by mobilizing the procurement and contract management resources. Responsibilities - Work closely with project managers on the project procurement strategy. - Create procurement strategy based on the project (tender packages, bidders list, schedule, budget, etc.) - Responsible for managing bridge funds and project cashflow situation. - Oversee the EPCm procurement and contracting team - Document all contract award decisions as per company guidelines and conduct risk assessment (HSE, Schedule, Quality, and Commercial) - Analyze potential risks and recommend actions to mitigate the problems in construction. - Deliver on schedule and cost objectives while continuous reporting on project variance. - Build strong commercial processes and project procurement strategy during bids and final negotiations. Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Economics - 3+ years of experience in CAPEX procurement - Strong contracting and negotiation skills. - Experience managing multi-disciplinary and international teams. - Results driven, highly organized and team focused attitude. - Strong communication (Written and Verbal) and problem-solving skills - Ability to work independently and take decisions - Solid working knowledge of MS Office Summary If you are someone who is passionate about being a part of an organization focused on innovation and sustainability, this might be the next step in your career.
