Our esteemed client, a boutique full-service law firm in Victoria, BC, is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join their team. While the firm handles a diverse range of legal matters, they are currently seeking a Paralegal with a minimum of 5 years of experience in personal injury and/or ICBC claims to support their caseload in this area. This presents an exciting opportunity for a qualified candidate to leverage their expertise and contribute to a dynamic legal practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with lawyers to manage personal injury and ICBC claims, providing comprehensive support throughout the litigation process.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to assist in case preparation and strategy development.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings related to personal injury and ICBC claims.
  • Liaise with clients, medical professionals, and other relevant parties to gather necessary information and evidence.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Assist with trial preparation and provide support during court proceedings as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Paralegal, with a focus on personal injury and/or ICBC claims.
  • Diploma or certificate in Paralegal Studies or a related field preferred.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and procedures pertaining to personal injury and ICBC claims.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and legal research databases.
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Legal working status in Canada required; as is willingness to work on-site in Victoria BC.
