Maintenance Person

The Maintenance Person is a position integral to the success of the Elora Mill property. This position is ideal for someone who loves to keep busy and is highly organized.

  • You have at least 3 years’ experience working in a maintenance or mechanical field.
  • You are familiar with the basic principles of HVAC, electrical and plumbing.
  • You are proficient in basic carpentry, drywall, plastering, painting, building envelope repairs and maintenance.
  • You are a people person and enjoy working independently and as part of a team.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide range of general building maintenance duties as assigned. 

  • Maintain familiarity with building systems including but not limited to ERV/HRV units, HVAC units, water heating units, water cooling system, fire alarm system, electrical systems, exhaust timers. 

  • Maintain outside property maintenance including snow removal, leaves and plants, pool area, equipment room and always ensure safe environments.

  • Mechanical room housekeeping

  • Filter changes

  • General in-room repairs

  • Exterior building maintenance including window washing, exterior light bulbs changed as required.

  • Repairs and upgrades as needed.

  • High dusting of events facility venting.  

  • Opening and closing the pool & maintain pool chemistry.

  • Follow preventative maintenance programs as directed.

  • Reactive maintenance support

  • Follow all Pearle Hospitality and Health & Safety policies and procedures.
