The Opportunity : Shift Structure Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Hourly wage: $21.93

A snap shot of some of the exciting things you will lead and do :

  • Develop and post open positions on all applicable forums.
  • Audit and maintain electronic and paper-based employee files to ensure they have all required information
  • Maintain high level of confidentiality when dealing with private and sensitive documents
  • Work with Managers and supervisors to develop updated and accurate job descriptions for each position
  • Develop role specific interview guides to ensure consistency in the hiring process
  • Conduct plant tours as required
  • Track applicants and applicant feedback received during screening process to assist in determining hiring barriers
  • Conduct exit interviews and maintain tracking
  • Schedule and execute job fairs as needed
  • Identify trends with turnover and work with the HR Supervisor to provide recommendations to the business leaders
  • Prescreen and provide managers with feedback to determine if they will move to the next step.
  • Conduct in person interviews with hiring managers and provide feedback.
  • Complete reference checks as needed
  • Conduct Orientation with new hires and ensure all proper documentation is complete prior to new hire starting.
  • Upload employees and documents into electronic employee files
  • Travel to other Ontario Hatcheries on a weekly or bi-weekly basis
  • Assist in day-to-day HR activities as required.
  • Assist in additional training sessions as required.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Any additional duties as required.

What you will bring :

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends and opportunities, translating these into clear and effective actionable goals while creating an environment of continuous improvement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • System savvy and very comfortable with using Microsoft Office tools
