Our client's seeking a skilled and detail-oriented BIM Technologist to join their team. Your primary responsibility will be to support the implementation and management of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes and technologies within our projects. You will work closely with BIM specialists, architects, engineers, and other team members to ensure the accurate creation, coordination, and utilization of BIM models throughout the project lifecycle.

In this role, you will assist in the development and maintenance of BIM models, ensuring they align with project requirements and adhere to industry standards. You will collaborate with project team members to integrate design elements from various disciplines and ensure accurate representation of the building's components.

As a BIM Technologist, you will also provide support in managing the BIM database and assisting in quality control processes. You will assist in the preparation of BIM deliverables, such as drawings, schedules, and reports. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvement of BIM workflows and processes.

To excel in this role, you should have a solid understanding of BIM principles and practices, as well as proficiency in relevant BIM software, such as Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment are essential. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with team members are also important for success as a BIM Technologist.

Job Responsibilities:

  • BIM Model Development: Assist in the creation and development of BIM models based on project requirements and design inputs. This includes 3D modeling of building components and systems using BIM software.
  • BIM Data Management: Manage and organize BIM data, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and adherence to established BIM standards and protocols.
  • Drawing and Document Preparation: Assist in the preparation of BIM deliverables, including drawings, schedules, and reports. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of BIM-related documentation according to project requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with architects, engineers, BIM specialists, and other project stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle. Participate in meetings, discuss project requirements, and provide BIM-related insights and recommendations.
  • Quality Control and Assurance: Assist in quality control processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of BIM models and deliverables. Perform regular checks and audits to identify and correct any errors, inconsistencies, or deviations from established BIM standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of BIM workflows, processes, and best practices. Stay updated with the latest developments in BIM technology and industry standards, and actively seek opportunities to enhance BIM implementation and efficiency.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of BIM-related activities, including project progress, issues encountered, and resolutions implemented. Generate reports and updates as required by project management or stakeholders.

Job Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field.

• Proficiency in BIM software, such as Revit and AutoCAD

• Understanding of construction processes, building design, and engineering principles.

• Strong time management and organization skills.

• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and precision in BIM models.

$70-90k per annum
