Job Summary: The Signage & Survey Technician plays a pivotal role in Signage, and Survey categories. This multifaceted position requires a high degree of accuracy and the ability to perform a wide range of Signage, and Survey-related tasks independently. Reporting to the Manager of Public Works & Infrastructure, this role is accountable for a variety of critical duties while maintaining exceptional interpersonal, analytical, organizational, and time management skills. Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders is a key aspect of this position, making superior communication and teamwork skills essential. Daily Work Activities Include: Collect location-based data pertaining to addressing and asset inventory for both rural and civic areas. Submit digital copies of survey data to the Municipal Document System. Coordinate, order, and install addressing signage. As needed, coordinate, order, and install site-specific signage. Participate in inspections of the Administration Building for health and safety. Facilitate the bi-annual dust suppression program. Perform any other duties as assigned. Working Conditions: This role involves frequent interactions with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. Work is performed independently and may be complex in nature. Position requires a high degree of attention to accuracy and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Work may involve inspecting the MD facilities for health and safety. Interaction with the general public, community organizations, government departments, auditors, and municipal suppliers is essential. Requirements Education and Knowledge Required: Valid Class 5 driver's license. Confidentiality is required. GPS surveying training and experience. Experience and Technical Skills Required:  Familiarity with geographical information systems and data collection. Knowledge of addressing signage coordination, ordering, and installation. Skid steer knowledge – used to excavate post holes as required. Basic Hand tool use Ability to work independently.
