We are looking for an Instructor to deliver a variety of culturally related trainings to Indigenous audiences and groups working with Indigenous communities. As the Manager of Curriculum and Learning Development, you will be sharing your natural aptitude for developing, reviewing, and delivering curriculum. Indigenous Perspectives Society is a provincial organization that provides professional development to Indigenous child and family services in BC, to nonprofits, governments, municipalities, and corporations. The Society works in cooperation with First Nations and Indigenous child and family service programs to protect and enhance the well-being of First Nations and Indigenous peoples by reaffirming traditions, and through effective child and family service delivery that empower the voices of Indigenous peoples. Position Summary Indigenous Perspectives Society (IPS) is seeking a Manager of Curriculum and Learning Development who is ultimately responsible for ensuring exceptional delivery of training with relevant and timely content, including training scheduling and evaluations. The position will include overseeing the development of curriculum and facilitation techniques to ensure course material is aligned with child welfare legislation and other internal policies. The Manager reports to the Executive Director and will develop strong relationships with IPS staff, various stakeholders such as the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD), and contractors. The position will be based out of the Society’s office and will be expected to do some travel (mostly in BC) to other off-site locations and represent IPS at various conferences, committees, and forums as requested. The Ideal Candidate will have - A Bachelors in Social Work or related degree is preferred, with 5-7 years of experience in a Child Welfare related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience - Progressive experience in Indigenous Child and Family Services, child protection, and Indigenous social work - Demonstrated experience in the design and development of competency-based curriculum, public education, and relations materials, specifically utilizing a blended learning approach - Experience in adult education instruction with sound knowledge of Indigenous communities, and practices in BC - Proficiency with computer software including MS Office, Moodle, and PowerPoint - Preference will be given to individuals identifying as Indigenous, Metis, or Inuit What we can offer you: • Healthy workplace which offers professional development, a wellness program, and other cultural initiatives • Competitive benefits package after 3 months of employment •Matched RRSP Group Savings Planafter 6 months of employment • Annual salary $90,000based on previous experience or related experience •Monday- Friday 8:30am- 4:30pm at our office in Langford. relocation budget may apply How To Apply If you are qualified and interested in this challenging position, please send your resume with an accompanying cover letter describing how your strengths and experience make you the ideal fit to rachelled@ipsociety.cawith “Manager of Curriculum and Learning Development” as the subject line.
