As a Planning Services Manager, you play an essential role in providing strategic guidance and direction to ensure the fulfillment of client requirements, consistent delivery of exceptional customer service, and mentorship to the planning services team. This role involves overseeing team operations, fostering strong relationships with contractors and clients, managing projects effectively, and maintaining compliance with policies and procedures.What you will be responsible for:Team Management and LeadershipEnsure all team members have the support & resources to meet daily output requirements.Facilitate clear communication with TMP Team Members - Assisting with questions & escalations.Ensure the planning department is compliant & a leader in the industry; following policies & procedures, and staying up to date with changes/trends in the industry.Relationship BuildingBuild and maintain contractor relationships, communicate with clients to assess their needs, and resolve contractor issues promptly.Active participation in company initiatives, committees, and events.Ability to adapt to the different communication styles & needs of clients, vendors and peers.Project Management and CoordinationProvide daily guidance & motivation to the designer team to ensure deadlines are met.Coordinate large special events with the respective department heads & the event lead.Manage the estimation process, working closely with the sales team to ensure accurate & competitive submissions.Administrative and CommunicationOversee department operations within company software, such as: Hubspot, Monday.com, PandaDoc, etc.Submit reports, prepare presentations, and draft documents as needed.Frequent, timely communication with internal and external stakeholders required.What you get from us:Extended Medical, Vision, and Dental benefits after the probationary period.Competitive compensation package and three weeks of paid vacation.RRSP matching program.Access to a Health and Wellness Program.Access to a growing organization with lots of advancement opportunities.An amazing culture where you will feel supported and recognized for your work.What we need from you:Traffic control, Security Industry or Construction background preferred.Five years of previous management experience.Hold a valid TCP ticket, or be willing to participate in the certification course.Proficient in Microsoft Office/ Google Office Suite.High adaptability.Strong problem solving skills.Business Insight- Applying knowledge of business and the marketplace to advance the organization’s goals.Collaborate- Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.Plans and Aligns- Planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with the organizational goals.Drives Vision and purpose- Painting a compelling picture of the vision and strategy that motivates others to action.Where/When you will be working:In office atmosphere and environment.Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm or as determined based on the needs of the department and requirements for successful business operations.Required to work occasional off-site special events, including evenings and weekends as well as facilitating TMP requests or meetings with contractors – sometimes PPE gear may be required.Why Universal Group?
