Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years Work site environment Dusty Outdoors Tasks Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster Clean and prepare surfaces Cure freshly plastered surfaces Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in finish coat, if required Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound Trowel or spray coats of stucco over exteriors of buildings to form weatherproof surfaces Attach metal or gypsum lath to studs or furring Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings, using hand and power tools Support for newcomers and refugees Assists with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: housing, transportation, storage, childcare, winter clothing, etc.) Support for youths Offers on-the-job training tailored to youths Support for Indigenous people Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers Support for mature workers Provides staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers Work Term: Permanent Work Language: English Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week
