POSITION SUMMARY Journeyperson Pipefitters possess the full range of knowledge required to lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for oil, steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems. PROJECT DETAILS Site is at the Cenovus Foster Creek facility on the Cold Lake Air Weapons Range Shift is 8 on/6 off 12 hour days Final day of shift is an 8 hour day, and then travel for days off $300/shift travel allowance Camp accommodations provided CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES Read and interpret red-line construction drawings and blueprints (Isometrics, P&ID’s, etc.) Assemble piping and valves in module and compressor packages Prepare pipe and fittings for tacking, hoisting, and rigging Hydrotest, assemble, and install pipe spools in the fabrication facility Measure, cut, and thread pipe to the required shape Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems Remove and replace worn components and reactivate systems QUALIFICATIONS Education Must possess a valid Journeyperson certificate from the appropriate provincial or federal authority Training Must have or be willing to obtain valid H2S Alive and CSTS 2020 or PST tickets - CSTS 09 and CSO/BSO will not be accepted SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES Must be able to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing Able to lift 50 pounds Comfortable working outdoors
