Req Id: 410710  At Bell, we do more than build world-class networks, develop innovative services and create original multiplatform media content – we’re revolutionizing how Canadians communicate. If you’re ready to bring game-changing ideas to life and join a community that values bold ideas, professional growth and employee wellness, we want you on the Bell team.  SummaryBCE’s Regulatory Affairs department furthers the business interests of BCE’s business units through interactions with government departments and regulatory agencies, particularly the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC). Regulatory Affairs is a small, dynamic group of business, legal and policy professionals working on a wide variety of issues of high importance to Bell’s operations.  It supports the company’s business objectives by developing and communicating Bell’s positions, requirements and other information to the CRTC, and by ensuring that the company complies with all regulations by providing advice and guidance to Bell’s business units.  This position offers the selected candidate the opportunity to: Learn about new products and services as well as emerging technologies ;Broaden your scope of Bell Canada and affiliate operations and regulatory implications;Be involved directly in projects that shape the future of the telecommunications’ business environment;Interface extensively with various groups and levels of management; andFurther develop your background in economic/financial related skillsKey ResponsibilitiesConduct or assist in conducting economic evaluations using various costing models;Prepare regulatory cost studies for submission to the CRTC;Conduct research and financial analyses to assess the implications of regulatory proposals;Prepare Company submissions on a broad range of topics to the CRTC in support of cost filings.Critical QualificationsMasters degree in Economics, Engineering, MBA or extensive experience in economics, finance and/or accounting-related work;Analytical, data analysis and problem solving skills, with attention to detail;Experience in developing costing, economic or statistical models;Detailed knowledge of incremental costing and economic principles related to costing, including concepts of time value of money, and economic evaluators such as Net Present Value (NPV), payback period, rate of return, cost of capital etc.;Ability to lead cross-functional teams as well as work independently in developing cost and benefit cash flows and interpreting the results of economic models to determine their reasonableness;Communications and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey ideas effectively to non-financial/economic managers;Ability to deliver and facilitate presentations in a professional manner at all levels of management;Working knowledge of Excel with the ability to create well-organized and flexible Excel templates which link to existing evaluation tools;Results oriented with an ability to work under stringent timeframes, under minimal supervision, and deliver results error-free. Preferred QualificationsRelated experience, preferably within the telecommunications industry;General understanding of the Company’s operations and service offerings would be an asset; Expected to complete the necessary requirements in the IVA and Business Decision Support Certification Program.Working ConditionsWork is largely project based.  Extended hours may be required to meet tight regulatory timelines. #EmployeeReferralProgram Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.  Additional Information:Position Type: Management Job Status: Regular - Full Time Job Location: Canada : Ontario : Ottawa || Canada : Ontario : Mississauga || Canada : Ontario : Toronto Flexible work profile : MobileApplication Deadline: 05/22/2023
