Required Skills and Experience Minimum of a Diploma in Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technology or comparable work experience. A minimum of 5 years related work experience in supervising, directing and motivating personnel. In addition, at least 5 years of experience in managing equipment, budgets, and production processes in an automated, high-tech production facility, using CNC Proven experience in project management, including an ability to facilitate the successful conclusion of a large project. Experience with highly automated production lines that utilize PLCs, SCADA systems and software driven control systems. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Proven report writing ability. CNC background Lathing experience OEE Nice to Have Skills and Experience Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with front line workers, supervisors, management and customers in a professional, co-operative attitude and behavior. Excellent communication skills, including both verbal and written skills with the ability to give and receive feedback. Excellent organizational skills, i.e. time management, ability to prioritize, etc. Ability to work productively in an environment with a wide range of temperatures. Ability to sit, stand, bend, squat and walk about the facility. Ability to meet physical and cognitive demands assessments. Ability to pay close attention to detail and concentrate on tasks. Ability to work well under pressure. Ability to work independently. Ability to motivate and support a work team on both individual and team basis. Willingness to embrace new challenges Job Description * Insight Global is looking for a Production Threading Manager to join of the our largest manufacturing clients. The Production Threading Manager is responsible for leading, developing, implementing, providing support, advice, guidance and overseeing programs related to the threading department operations, administration, workplace complaint investigations, performance management, recruitment and retention, training, development, coaching, mentoring, and discipline. In support of these programs, this position plays an integral role in providing processes, tools, and resources to drive achievement of divisional and corporate objectives by building harmonious and respectful working relationships, organizational efficiencies, and employment talent. This position works closely with local bargaining unit representatives to advance a harmonious and respectful working relationship. This position reports into the Operations Manager and is responsible for the supervision of the following positions that work in the department: Team Lead -- Threading, CNC Operator, WMS Operator, Threading Labourer/Inspector, Threading Floater/Saw Operator, joint supervision of the Shift Supervisors and Threading Labourer/Bucker.
