This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in developing the strategy for our new pharmaceutical site and shape the future of our operations in North America.Reporting to the Plant Controller, the Assistant Plant Controller is accountable for effectively controlling, reporting and analyzing the financial and statistical information regarding the company’s Adair operations on a timely and accurate basis. The Assistant Plant Controller is also accountable to develop and maintain appropriate internal control systems and procedures that safeguard the assets of the Company.Regular working hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.The RolePlan, direct and coordinate all accounting operational functions.Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial and statistical data necessary for an accurate accounting of business resultsCoordinate and prepare internal financial statements. Provide management with management reports that support decision makingPrepare and manage the annual site budget as well as the monthly forecastsAssess current accounting and internal control processes, develop recommendations for improvement and monitor on going performanceLiaise with external auditors and lead financial audits. Make recommendations for improvementsOther duties as required.The CandidateBachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (Accounting, Finance) Required.C.M.A., C.G.A., or C.A. preferred.Minimum 2+ years of progressive work experience in financial management required.Experience working in a manufacturing environment at a middle management level, preferredFamiliarity with pharmaceutical and/or GMP facilities preferredKnowledge of GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles), tax laws (including income tax & value added tax)Knowledge of accounting systems, budgets, internal controls, business planning, and asset managementKnowledge of financial statement preparation and analysisExcellent computer skills utilizing an ERP system as well as MS OfficeDemonstrable leadership experience at Catalent (including but not limited to participation in Catalent-sponsored leadership programs such as NGGL, GOLD, LEAD Now, GM Excellence, and GROW) may be considered in place of external experience.Good written/verbal communication and presentation skillsAbility to interact with external & internal partners at various levelsUse of manual dexterity is required.The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, bend or twist, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.Must be able to work extended hours, weekends as needed, especially when problems occur or when deadlines must be metWhy You Should Join Catalent Comprehensive Benefit Package (Health, Dental, Vision, & Life Insurance)Group Retirement Savings –Registered Pension Plan (RPP) with employer contributionsPaid Time Off Programs including vacation, banked time & personal time.Employee Reward & Recognition programsOpportunities for professional and personal development & growth including tuition reimbursement.Catalent offers rewarding opportunities to further your career!
