Our client, is looking for an experienced Accountant to join their team for a permanent opportunity. Opportunity to expand accounting knowledge Responsibilities Handling various accounting and tax-related assignments such as personal and corporate tax returns, compilation engagements, etc. Regularly communicating with clients to collect necessary information and establish strong client relationships. Participating in all firm-provided training sessions and any external courses deemed necessary. Keeping up-to-date with relevant accounting standards and changes in tax laws. Managing different filings with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) for clients, including HST, and addressing CRA inquiries. Organizing and preparing clients' books and records for the year. Juggling multiple deadlines throughout the year. Qualifications Completed a degree or diploma in business management or administration. Interest in pursuing the CPA program would be advantageous. 0-2 years of experience in accounting. Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams). Familiarity with Caseware and TaxPrep software would be advantageous. Exceptional attention to detail. Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Strong work ethic, capable of both independent work and collaboration in a team. Understanding of a client-focused, fast-paced work environment, with the ability to effectively manage conflicting deadlines and prioritize tasks.
