Job Description The Events Operator I is responsible for managing set-up and maintaining, breaking down, and cleaning conference rooms and lounges in accordance with Aramark standards, safety rules, and sanitation policies.  You’ll set up, maintain, break down, and clean for food and beverage special events.   Job Responsibilities Know and comply with all ARAMARK and client policies and procedures regarding safety, security, and emergencies. Maintains friendly, efficient, spirit of service attitude towards customers, clients and co-workers. Performs event change over by providing a full, detail-cleaning of the event space and preparing the space for the next event. The process typically includes: removing trash, cleaning tables, moving tables and chairs, Operable partitions, setting up stage/risers, dance floor, pipe and drape, flags and poles, easels, white boards, and other equipment as needed. The shift may also include the use of ride on tow motors and/or pallet jacks. Utilizes time and resources in the most efficient and effective manner possible. Must work well with fellow employees, as a team member, working toward common goals. Keep water services and amenity stations (mints, paper, pens) stocked in all meeting rooms. Provides a safe environment for customers by keeping assigned area free of clutter. Properly stores and handles chemicals and materials. Properly stores all materials and equipment at the end of each working shift. Performs all other related duties as assigned. Operating material handling and personnel lifting equipment. Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds. In order to meet our commitments, job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice.  Qualifications   Must be able to budget time in an efficient manner to ensure that all rooms are set and ready to go on time.    Would prefer one year of experience as a Banquet Set-up Person at a hotel.    Must be able to read, write and clearly speak English.      This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing.
