Junior Accounts Receivable Clerk

Our respected client has an immediate opening for a Junior Accounts Receivable Clerk. This position is 100% in office, located in the Tilbury Industrial Park (Delta), with every second weekend being a long weekend ! Duties and Responsibilities: • Enabling sales through proper credit practices; • Invoicing, collecting, and processing payments from customers; • Assisting with the day to day credit decisions; • Handling and resolving customer inquiries and complaints regarding accounts receivable; • Collection calls to customers who are outside of authorized credit terms to effect collection of outstanding amounts; • Performing deposits of daily cash receipts; • Assisting and assuming related accounting duties as assigned; • Creating and preparing ad-hoc accounting reports as requested by management; • Providing reception coverage for breaks and lunch Skills and Knowledge: • Motivated, energetic, and enthusiastic and articulate phone presentation; • Strong analytical and communication skill (both written and verbal); • Ability and willingness to handle conflict and assuage customers while being firm; • Responsive and dedicated to provide excellent customer service; • Excellent organizational and time management with ability to multi-task, prioritize jobs based on importance, and meet deadlines; • Strong problem solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skill; • Excellent interpersonal skill with ability to work with a group and/or independently as a hands-on team player; • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite; experience using Microsoft Excel PivotTable preferred; Qualifications: • Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment preferred • Previous business-to-business collection and crediting experience • Prior knowledge and familiarity with accounts receivable practices • Experience in working with Microsoft Dynamics NAV an asset A competitive benefits program and wage rounds out this position with a stable and tenured company in their industry.
