RothLochston is currently recruiting for a Quality Advisor to join the team in Labrador City, NL. This is a rotational position, with a planned schedule of two weeks on, two weeks off and a forecasted long-term duration. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a fast paced, multi-disciplinary team. This role will be responsible for ensuring project quality requirements are adhered to for both the Company and the Client.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the multi-discipline quality management of our site construction work with a focus on ensuring the quality requirements and expectations of the client are met at all times.
  • Develop and review Inspection Test Plans (ITP’s).
  • Creation of MRB’s and review with client (including, but not limited to: as-builts, redlines, weld mapping, material traceability, hydro testing, visual inspection reports, etc.).
  • Coordinate inspections, collect results and identify trends.
  • Coordinate, prepare and complete required documentation in support of the quality requirements and ensure they are in compliance with contract documents and customer specifications.
  • Prepare inspection reports, repair procedures, and other inspection documents.
  • Maintain internal quality records.
  • Coordinate welding specifications, codes, and standards.
  • Coordinate third party NDE inspections and review NDE reports.
  • Coordinate dimensional control checks and report reports.
  • Participate in load testing and hydro-testing.
  • Perform coating inspections.
  • Participate as a team member or technical resource for ongoing project activities.
  • Assist in determining the appropriate disposition of non-conformance's, ensuring that the appropriate corrective action to prevent recurrence is deployed.
  • Create corrective and preventative actions and tracking them through to closure.
  • Raise and closure of NCR’s.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Education/Experience & Skills:

  • Engineering Technician or Technologist with Level 2 CWB or other equivalent combination of education, training and certification is required.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in the industrial construction industry.
  • Experience with Bluebeam, Adobe PDF, Microsoft Office as a minimum for computer applications.
  • Knowledge of engineering and construction principles, practices, codes, and regulations.
