Description Manulife Bank is seeking a results-driven professional to join our Digital Banking & Payments Strategy team.In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the strategy and building roadmaps to advance our digital payments position in the market and ensuring the Bank meets its objectives. Your understanding of digital banking, payments, experience working with FinTech, ability to understand markets, demographics, and technology will be key in building out the strategy and business casing key initiatives. You will be responsible for contributing to teams who are passionate about developing great experiences that provide value to our customers. You are adept at knowing how to navigate and positively influence an organization cross functionally. You are naturally curious, have a love for data and have a consistent track record at enabling data driven decisions.Responsibilities:Payments strategy: Support the Bank in the payments space and create roadmaps for digital payments at Manulife BankConduct market, customer and competitor analysis to inform the digital payment strategySupport with the development and evolution of Open banking strategy and associated technology and capabilitiesAnalyze data, identify insights, and update leadership around any challenges and recommendations for optimizationProactively stay in the know of new players in the payments space to enable informed identification of early partnership/strategic investment opportunitiesSupport digital payments business development opportunities from ideation to project inceptionIdentify near and long-term initiatives that can drive business growth, enhance revenue streams, and improve profitabilityCultivate business cases and support the sales cycle through research, prototyping, and testingReal time rail (RTR):Support with defining and detailing Manulife Bank’s needs and role in the RTR initiativeCollaborate with regulatory and compliance teams to relay requirements and pre-requisites and ensure compliance in preparation for RTRCollaborate with RTR delivery team to relay requirements and mandates for RTR Exchange and C&S and assess impact on existing landscapeSupport creation and evolution of POV to enable value add services on RTRWhat motivates you?  You have an understanding of digital payments capabilities and associated industry standardsYou have an understanding of technology and are comfortable working with technology partners and translating capabilities into business resultsYou think big, with the curiosity to discover new ways to enable business outcomesYou are highly analytical, resourceful, and can understand data and develop insights and creative solutions that can be translated to next steps You take ownership and initiative and can support teams to achieve results, focusing on what mattersYou obsess about customers, listen, engage, and act for their benefitYou take initiative, and roll up your sleeves to get work done What we are looking for: 5-10 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably in digital paymentsDemonstrated experience leveraging data to inform decision makingExperience in turning complex business problems into successful digital payment experiencesUnderstanding of technology and platforms and how to use technology to deliver digital results Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance considerations in the digital landscapePrevious experience in financial services and delivering on P&L objectivesAdept at using MS office suite for presentation and decision makingWhat can we offer you? The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
