Position Summary Under the general direction of the Director, Marketing (BC), this position is responsible for the development and implementation of casino promotions, sponsorships, community events and electronic media campaigns in support of corporate marketing strategies. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work enviro nment for all team members. Key Accountabilities Develops and implements select promotions for multiple casino venues as directed (e.g., Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island); sources promotional merchandise, prizes and decor; liaises with site Marketing or Guest Services to ensure effective implementations including the display of promotional and seasonal decor Develops and implements advertising campaigns as directed; purchases media in support o f select promotions Develops, implements and maintains electronic media campaigns as directed; maximizes the effectiveness of web content, Internet ads, social networking, etc. in support of marketing initiatives; identifies and develops new media opportunities Maintains electronic marketing calendar; drafts promotional guidelines and creative briefs Responds to and screens sponsorship inquiries; presents possibilities to the Sponsorship Committee for review Coordinates, implements, monitors and follows up on company supported community events and sponsorships Monitors and maintains budgets for community events, sponsorships, select promotions and electronic media; reports variances Tracks marketing purchase orders; maintains spreadsheet logs; responds to, resolves or escalates purchasing issues Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, management, team members, vendors, sponsors, community organizers and regulators Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations Perfor ms other duties as assigned or directed Education and Qualifications Post Secondary education in marketing or suitable combination of education and experience an asset Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing; experience with promotions and special event planning required; gaming or hospitality experience preferred; electronic media experience an asset Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication Computer literacy in MS Office Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License Work Environment Considerations Regular office environment, non-traditional work hours may be required in certain circumstances, some travel may be required Great Canadian Gaming Corporation is committed to diversity, equity and inclusion and we welcome all qualified applicants to apply to join our team of unique contributors.
