We are seeking an aspiring, self-motivated, and collaborative Project Manager to join our team of experts committed to leading projects and building relationships across Vancouver Island. In this role, you’ll work closely with clients to provide strategic advice and have the rewarding opportunity to contribute to meaningful change through projects that enhance access to housing, clean drinking water, education, and community infrastructure. Join us in making a tangibleCulture Collaborate with other leaders within Colliers to understand and communicate our successes across Canada Advocate for diversity and inclusion within Colliers Project Leaders and our workforce Responsibilities Respect local knowledge and the customs and culture of the people you work with, including Indigenous communities.Lead project delivery from initiation and planning through to project completionWork with a variety of client groups in both the public and private sectors, including Indigenous governing bodies, Indigenous community groups and organizations, local authorities (regional districts and municipalities), provincial government and federal government.Consult directly with communities, funding partners, and design and construction professionals to plan and implement capital building and infrastructure projects.Support Indigenous communities and local authorities to develop economic prosperity through strategic land planning, land development and business development.Support Indigenous communities and local authorities to plan for emergencies and rebuild after climate-related disasters.Provide project leadership, representing clients’ best interests and help them achieve their strategic goalsBe a trusted advisor to the client, applying your deep understanding of design, construction, and operation of a variety of public sector facilities and infrastructureTake ownership of project set-up, initiation, execution, monitoring and reporting, close-out, and commissioningLead and organize project teams towards a common goal and establish levels of authority and lines of communicationReport on project status by means of progress reports, meeting minutes, and other correspondenceChair project and site meetingsIdentify and resolve project challengesContribute to planning and growth of the business unit within the BC regionYour project teams rely on your ability to manage change, communicate, and coordinate between multiple partners and stakeholders to resolve issues and deliver projects on time and on budget.
