Job Description: As a Biophysical & Formulation Consultant specializing in Formulation and Assay Development, you will be an integral part of the dynamic team, contributing to the advancement of our client’s nanoparticle-based technologies. Your primary focus will be on supporting formulations and developing assays tailored to the unique properties of biophysical chemicals we are working with.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead formulation development efforts, designing and executing experiments to optimize nanoparticle-based formulations.
  • Develop novel assays to characterize the biophysical properties of our formulations, utilizing a range of techniques including spectroscopy, microscopy, and chromatography.
  • Collaborate closely with vendors and CROs to leverage their expertise in specialized areas.
  • Drive innovation within the team by exploring non-standard assay development approaches and adapting to evolving project requirements.
  • Analyze instrumentation data to extract meaningful insights and guide formulation optimization efforts.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in biophysical chemistry and contribute to the scientific discourse through publications and presentations.

Qualifications:

  • PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field with a focus on biophysical chemistry.
  • Proven experience in formulation development, particularly with lipid nanoparticles and lipid-based particles.
  • Strong background in assay development and characterization, with expertise in designing and implementing innovative techniques.
  • Proficiency in utilizing instrumentation for biophysical analysis, with a deep understanding of the underlying principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Exceptional adaptability and flexibility in approaching research challenges, particularly in situations where the desired outcome is not predefined.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively convey complex scientific concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
