Job Description : CEDA is looking to hire two Journeyman Pipefitters for our Bonnyville Shop.

Key Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Fabricate and weld piping/equipment supports, brackets, guides
  • Fit up and prepare piping requiring welded joints
  • Provide support, guidance and training as required
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications to determine layout requirements and assemble piping systems
  • Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
  • Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
  • Test system for leaks using testing equipment and troubleshoot issues “post” installation
  • Other duties as assigned

Role Specifications :

  • Journeyman Pipefitter/Steamfitter (Red Seal preferred), will consider one, 3rd or 4th year **apprentice status
  • Valid CSO (Common Safety Orientation or CSTS-09 certification is required
  • H2S Alive, First Aid, Confined Space, Fall Arrest and Aerial Work Platform (AWP) certifications are considered an asset
  • Able to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol test

Skills :

  • You’re happy working as part of a team and comfortable working independently on various projects in the shop
  • You’re meticulous - you have no problem completing the required paperwork for projects and jobs
  • Able to perform physically demanding work (able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis)
  • You are safety focused when it comes to people and equipment
