Health & Safety Specialist

Your newpany We are seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Specialist to join our client's team in Niagara Region. The employer is a full-service electrical contractor with over 25 years' experience in the region. Your new role The successful candidate will play a key role in ourmitment to creating and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for our employees.Responsibilities:1. Develop and Implement Safety Programs : Create, implement, and oversee safety programs that help ensure a safe workplace.2. Risk Assessment : Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement preventative measures.3. Training : Conduct safety training sessions for employees and management.4. *pliance : Ensure thepany is inpliance with all applicable federal and provincial health and safety regulations.5. Incident Management : Manage workplace accidents or injuries, and investigate incidents to discover causes and handle worker'spensation claims.6. Documentation**: Maintain detailed records of safety-related incidents andpile reports forpany leadership.What you'll need to succeed Qualifications:1. Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.2. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification is preferred.3. Proven experience in a similar role in the electrical industry.4. Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.5. Excellentmunication and training skills.6. Strong problem-solving abilities.What you'll get in return This is a FT Permanent opportunity and will be treated as a long-term career growth opportunity. Base salary will range between $65,000-75,000 and your offer will be in-line with your experience. There will be access to apany vehicle for site visits.
