Qualifications:Post-secondary education in Fire Protection Engineering & Technology or equivalent3-5 years experience in the field of fire protection design, preferably with a Fire Protection ContractorNICET certification and/or have the ability to become certifiedWorking expertise of 3D modelling design software (e.g. Revit) is preferredAutodesk AutoCAD; AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks and Adobe experience is an asset Key Responsibilities: Design, listing, and project coordination of Fire Protection SystemsWork with a team of fire protection designers, reporting directly to the design team leaderLiaise between management, estimating, design, fabrication, installation and project management as a valuable team member resulting in increased profitabilityWork within Autodesk Revit to recreate fire protection design for 3D modelingDevelop finished building models and drawings from general conceptual information and design notesWork with senior drafting and design team to create 3D modelsCoordinate with BIM construction teams and work within 3D model to create efficient project design and verify clash reportsAssist in continuing and maintaining company best practices in coordination with national fire protection design teamVerify that all deliverables meet NFPA standards and local ordinance Pay Range: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 annually Accommodation for applicants with disabilities is available, upon request, throughout the recruitment process in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005. **Thank you to all applicants who have taken the time to apply for this role.
