Based in Hamilton, the  Survey Technician  will report to the Survey Crew Lead and will have a wide range of duties which ultimately focus on conventional surveying services. You will be part of a team that offers services and expertise to private and government sector clients throughout the Hamilton, Halton, and Niagara regions and beyond. What You’ll Do: As part of the Surveying team at A. J. Clarke and Associates, you will:   Be the assisting member of a 2-person crew that works in the field obtaining survey information Assist in the collection of field data using various survey instruments, levels, and GPS field equipment Demonstrate the essential skills related to the use of all field equipment used to perform job responsibilities Ensure all field equipment is accounted for and maintained in good working order Organize field equipment and supplies Please note that this job description is not meant to be an all-inclusive statement of every duty and responsibility that will ever be required of an employee in the job. Who You Are:   You have at least two (2) years experience working in the survey field You are proficient in the use of various survey instruments, calculators, levels, and GPS field equipment or have the aptitude to learn You are willing to travel for site inspections and fieldwork You can pivot and alter approach to accomplish desired results You are not afraid to raise your hand when you need help or guidance You are trusted and provided freedom to work independently but also contribute to the overall team success What You Should Bring: The ideal candidate will have completed at least a two (2) year college program in Civil Engineering Technician or Technology or have equivalent experience. Additionally, you should have:   High motivation with results-oriented focus Superior organizational and multi-tasking skills Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills Excellent communication skills (oral and written) Unwavering commitment to health and safety in the workplace A valid, Class G driver’s licence What We Offer You: A.
