About Hillel BC Society Hillel BC, located at the heart of UBC in a modern facility, is at the forefront of enriching Jewish student life across university and college campuses in British Columbia. We are dedicated to creating a dynamic, inclusive, and supportive environment where Jewish students can explore and celebrate their identity through a wide array of programs and activities.Key Responsibilities Design and oversee a broad range of student-centered programs and events. Lead and mentor a team of 5 programming staff, fostering an environment of growth and collaboration. Develop strategies to engage uninvolved student populations, creating welcoming pathways into the Jewish community. Forge key partnerships with university professionals to enhance program planning and execution. Actively participate in budgeting and development activities under the guidance of the Executive Director. Spearhead Hillel BC’s advocacy efforts on campus in collaboration with local and national partners. Respond effectively to anti-Israel and antisemitic incidents, coordinating with both students and external partners.Who You Are An effective team leader and project manager who thrives in a dynamic environment. A relationship-builder capable of connecting with a diverse student body. Strategic and creative, with a knack for developing impactful programming. Committed to fostering pluralistic Jewish communities and a vibrant campus life. A skilled communicator, both in listening and articulating ideas. Driven by a passion for Jewish education and advocacy.Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or professional Jewish organizational experience preferred. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in experiential education, leadership development, or engagement. Deep understanding of Jewish traditions, practices, and the ability to facilitate meaningful conversations. Self-motivated, creative, and reflective with outstanding interpersonal skills.
