Robert Half is seeking an HR Assistant for a CONTRACT position located in London, ON. The HR Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative support to the HR department, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for helping employees and the organization thrive.Key Responsibilities:-Assist in maintaining employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.-Prepare and update HR documents, such as employee handbooks, job descriptions, and company policies.-Handle general HR inquiries and redirect as necessary.-Support the recruitment process by posting job ads, scheduling interviews, and coordinating with candidates.-Assist with new hire onboarding, including preparing onboarding materials, conducting orientations, and ensuring new hires complete necessary documentation.-Assist in processing payroll by collecting and verifying timekeeping information.-Help administer employee benefits programs and respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits.-Assist in organizing employee engagement activities and company events.-Support the HR team in resolving employee relations issues and maintaining a positive work environment.-Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.-Assist in preparing HR reports and metrics as required.-Coordinate training sessions and seminars, ensuring employees are informed and enrolled.-Maintain records of employee participation in all training and development programs.-Provide support to other HR team members and undertake any other HR-related tasks as assigned- Capability to interact with all levels of staff in a rapidly quickly changing environment while maintaining an approachable and appropriate demeanor- Highly professional and able to use good judgment and maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity- Eagerness to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and take initiative on variety of tasks and projects- Experience with office applications and software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)- Practical knowledge of Human Resources (HR) Administration- Conducts new-Employee Orientations experience- Confidential Documents experience- Well-founded grasp of Conducting Phone Screens- General familiarity with Prescreening- Command of employee engagement- Employee Timesheets experience preferred- Quality experience with HRIS- Proven knowledge of Resume Screening- Proficiency in Employee TrainingIf you are a self-starter who is passionate about supporting a dynamic and growing company, we would love to hear from you!
