WAREHOUSE OUTBOUND SUPERVISOROversee all functions of and supervise leads and specialists in tasks directly related to Outbound shipments. Be the first point of contact in representing the facility to drivers, client contacts, and outbound supporting vendors. Ensure all staff are process trained and applicable staff are properly trained on equipment. Support and drive smooth, efficient, accurate, and on time throughput between order release, picking, packing and shipping. DIRECT AREAS OF OVERSITE:Order releasePickingPackingShippingVendor ComplianceShipping and Packaging Supplies DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for orders flowing through the facility – drive pace and maintain flow of team’s workCommunicate and coordinate with department Supervisors and Facility Manager to ensure flow and throughput of entire operation is optimizedIdentify procedural waste and reduce or eliminate – clear roadblocks for your teamRepresent the order Outbound process and area to clients and business contactsIn absence of Facility/Ops Manager (based on seniority and experience) assume leadership over the facility STAFFDirectly oversee staff in Outbound Lead roles (rest of Outbound team indirectly report)Make sure staff is adequately trained in their primary function and cross trained in secondary functions within departmentEnsure staff understands and follows client specific processes and special order requirements to optimize client satisfactionManager Outbound team schedules, attendance, and requests for time offEnsure adequate staff levels to maintain order throughputCoordinate with other departments to ensure their staffing needs are met; work permittingPrepare and deliver yearly performance evaluations and nonscheduled performance plans CLIENTSCommunicate with clients on outbound-related topics when requested by ManagementOversee that team facilitates any compliance-related order tasksEnsure that all special client requests and projects have appropriate chargesREQUIREMENTSPrevious Supervisory experience – minimum 2 yearsReliable transportationExperience on Reach, Dock Stacker, Order Picker Forklifts – minimum 2 yearsTeam playerHands-on experience in order release, picking, packing and shipping (order fulfillment functions)Good understanding of metrics and reportingCustomer service and/or client management experienceGood communication and presentation skills We thank everyone for their applications however only qualified applicants will be contacted.
