We are looking for a Senior Interior Designer to join us and help lead our efforts in delivering interior design services to our happy clients.

Position Requirements:

  • 8+ years experience in Commercial Design/Tenant Improvements with a focus on corporate interiors, plus experience with multi-family residential design.
  • A minimum of 4 years of the above Interior Design experience being local to British Columbia.
  • A minimum of 4 years Project Management experience.
  • Experience with drawing coordination and quality assurance review of drawings prepared with the production team.
  • Experience with tender documents preparation & issuance.
  • Must have knowledge of contract admin documents & project pricing tracking.
  • Furniture specification and coordination experience.
  • Perfect English communication (written and verbal).
  • Municipality permitting experience.
  • Diploma / Degree in Interior Design from a Accredited Institution
  • Strong working drawing knowledge & experience
  • Excellent skills in AutoCAD, Revit or Sketch-up; Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) is an asset
  • Great interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Preferred: Registered member of IDIBC

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with team members to set the project goals/direction, while executing all phases of a project from project inception to completion
  • Produce accurate/complete sets of detailed Design & Construction Documentation
  • Design development to include production of 3D renderings to support the design concept
  • Produce sketches, renderings, samples for client approval
  • Participate in client-facing meetings and presentations
  • Specify products/materials; outline fabrication specifications
  • Work with vendors on all aspects of project to include: project/installation coordination, scheduling, sample/shop drawing review, etc.
  • Research into industry best practices
  • Source Furniture, Finishes & Equipment with consideration to project concept/budget
  • Engage & coordinate with project Contractor, Engineers and Consultants to provide solutions and deliver the design intent, on time and on budget
  • Review shop drawings and any related contract administration documentation, as required
  • Oversee all details of the project, under the supervision of the executive team and principal
  • Understand the financial deliverables with respect to the design intent and functional program
