Entropy Inc. (“ Entropy ”) is a proud Canadian full-service carbon capture and storage company. At Entropy, we offer comprehensive carbon advisory services, installation of proprietary technology, efficient capture and transport, reliable sequestration, and expert management of regulatory requirements. Entropy’s first project is operating at Advantage Energy Ltd.’s (“Advantage”) Glacier Gas Plant and stands as the sole natural gas processing facility that commercially captures and sequesters carbon from post-combustion emissions.

Entropy has a combined capital commitment of $500 million from the Brookfield Global Transition Fund and Canada Growth Fund Inc. (“CGF”) to develop commercial carbon capture and storage projects. Additionally, CGF is providing Entropy the first ever large-scale, long-term, fixed-price carbon credit offtake commitment in a compliance carbon market, to purchase up to one million tonnes per annum of carbon credits for 15 years.

Entropy is actively seeking an Office Manager to join our team at the Calgary Head Office. This position will report to the Chief Financial Officer, and is a full-time, permanent role.

Key Responsibilities:

Office Services & Other Duties:

  • Contribute to and promote a positive work environment.
  • Proactively ensure all office space is neat, tidy, and comfortable for guests and staff.
  • Manage building services requests including repair requests (lights, staff washrooms, etc.).
  • Maintain kitchen and oversee consumables such as coffee services, vending and beverages, while ensuring best cost and efficiencies.
  • Order, cancel, and manage access cards and distributing building memos.
  • Assist with planning and executing company events, as required.
  • Take on special projects including booking fridge cleanings and annual carpet cleanings.
  • Participate and carry out responsibilities as part of the Corporation’s Emergency Response Plan.
  • Entering Hazard ID’s for HSE manager and identifying any hazards noted in the Calgary office.

Reception/Administrative Duties:

  • Greet and receive guests during core hours of 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
  • Answer, filter, and transfer calls from our main office phone line.
  • Interact daily with all members of the team including executives and senior management.
  • Establish sound working relationships with internal stakeholders and provide support to their functions.
  • Ownership of meeting rooms, ordering meals, meeting room projector/video call setup, and clean-up.
  • Ownership of ordering/maintaining office supplies, stationary, and business cards, while ensuring best cost and efficiencies.
  • Prepare committee meeting agendas and yearly schedules.
  • Manage executive calendars, schedules, and conference calls.
  • Travel arrangements for Executives and Directors including marketing, roadshows and conferences.
  • Assist with other administrative tasks, as needed.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Prior administrative experience is required.
  • Superb time management and the ability to multitask.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to adhere to tight deadlines with a high degree of flexibility.
  • Ability to adhere to strict confidentiality standards.
  • Ability to work independently with a proven track record of working as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and prior experience organizing schedules and events.

Job Type : Full-Time

Schedule : Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours/week

Term : Permanent
