Reporting to the Manager of IT Operations, the Server Administrator will be responsible for the documentation, implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and overall health of server-related devices and services. This includes email, backup, SAN/storage, virtualization, and more.This integral role is complex and offers challenges in the various responsibilities that ensure our network is running optimally and securely for all members and employees of Cambrian. As a key member of our IT Operations team, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the health and performance of our server infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations for our business.In the role of Server Administrator, you will: Fully understand and follow all corporate IT controls and procedures ensuring they are maintained and followed correctlyResponsible applying approved change management processes to proactively create and maintain all enterprise servers and their various functions on the network including but not limited to Disaster Recovery, updates, backups, upgrades, password management, security, AD, DHCP, DNS, NTFS, DFS, GPO, Print, VMware and e-mail servers both hardware and softwareResponsible for proactively monitoring, managing and analyzing all aspects of server infrastructure including converged virtual infrastructure for efficiency and cohesiveness and proper operation using various tools, procedures and methodologies identifying and reporting anomalies, issues and concernsResponsible for all server related functions as it relates to help desk tasks/requests such as end user creation/maintenanceProvide tier 2 level support to end users on an as needed basis through demonstrated proficiency of all end user corporate technologies used on a daily basisResponsible for the creation and maintaining of comprehensive best practices documentation and support/technical services as it relates to server topology, equipment and configurations including Disaster RecoveryEnsures security for File System, Operating System and Cloud environments is properly setup, maintained and organized throughout the organization.Provide backup and escalation services for tier 1 help desk staff.Work closely with Tier 3 staff to provide mentoring and top-level tier 3 escalation support services to all IT staff including helpdesk and supportProvide any support as deemed necessary or required by the Manager, IT Operations or Chief Information Officer. Your Education & Experience: Post-secondary education considered an asset.Minimum 5 years of job-related experience showing advanced knowledge levels of integration and administration of Windows 2016\2019\2022 including all Operating System roles and features are required and a demonstrated in-depth of knowledge and experience with vSphere, HPE Simplivity, iSCSI SAN and Hewlett Packard Servers, Cloud services, Azure, AWS.Proficient in PC applications of Outlook, Word & Excel.Creative thinker/ problem solver, with a member-centered approach and strong drive to continuously improve and add value to the business.Demonstrated proficiency in all Cambrian lending, deposit and registered product offerings.Extensive knowledge of Ovation/EncoreDemonstrated proficiency in the following technologies:Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows ServerAdvanced knowledge and use of Active Directory and toolsAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10/11 Workstation operating systemsIn-Depth knowledge of Storage solutions such as Nimble/EMC/StoreOnceIn-Depth knowledge of VMware vSphere and related componentsKnowledge of HPE hardwareKnowledge and experience with network testing and monitoring tools such as packet capture utilities and syslog archivingKnowledge of local area IP networks, routing and switchingTechnical writing skills and documenting change managementStrong understanding of our banking systems SQL database and table relationshipsAbility to work well in an environment with multiple and often changing priorities.Must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle.
