Lead Water Resources Civil Engineer

We are seeking experienced water resources/civil engineer who is looking to take their career to the next level. The ideal candidate would have the ability to both manage and conduct project work independently while mentoring other staff on project teams. This position will require an aptitude for leadership, excellent communication and people skills, and a willingness to develop client relationships, and guide corporate development. Desired experience includes hydraulic and hydrologic modeling with multiple platforms and familiarity with sustainable approaches such as Low Impact Development (LID) design.

Education/Experience:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering field
  • Registration as a Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) in good standing in Alberta/Ontario
  • Water Resources Engineering experience, 6+ years preferred.
  • Project Mgmt. experience with a range of projects sizes ($50,000-$500,000) & multi-disciplinary components
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Low Impact Development/Green Infrastructure design experience
  • Planning, design, and construction of stormwater management facilities
  • Construction documentation, over-site, plan review, and observation experience
  • Familiarity with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling (ex SWMM), and water quality modeling
  • Managing working teams of 6-8 design professionals
  • Client relations, presentations, and business development
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Office best practices - financial tracking, budgeting, interpersonal problem-solving
  • Capacity to lead and work remotely with coworkers and clients across Canada and the USA
