The GTL Team is growing, and we are looking for a Service Coordinator to join our team!

The Service Coordinator will oversee the day-to-day operations of a maintenance department and the supervision of a team responsible for the preventive maintenance and repair of fleet. Ensure all repairs and/or maintenance to equipment is performed in accordance with Company safety and compliance standards, and with all federal/state regulations.

*Key Responsibilities:*

  • Oversee the daily planning and scheduling of all repair work to optimize productivity. Follow up on repairs being made, perform repairs as needed and appraise performance of shop personnel.
  • Supervise, coach, train, evaluate employee performance or behavior; provide input into hiring, disciplinary action, terminations, compensation, and promotion decisions
  • Conduct daily shop huddles and fleet walks
  • Perform inspections of outside repairs to ensure all work was properly completed in accordance with Company’s safety and compliance procedures and federal/state regulations.
  • Plan and schedule repairs in MIR planning and procure all parts for successful plan.
  • Analyze the quality and effectiveness of the work performed
  • Oversee repair diagnostics on more complex matters
  • Conduct road test on equipment as necessary
  • Assist with inventory control system to ensure necessary equipment and part levels are maintained.
  • Review and approve expenses that are within approval level; refer larger expenses or major repairs to Director
  • Maintain knowledge of engine, emission systems, transmission, brake, hydraulic and electrical systems to perform advanced preventive and repair maintenance functions on heavy equipment and vehicles used by Company, both on site and on the road
  • Manage related administrative matters for team, including payroll, employee records, records of all preventive and corrective maintenance performed, recording of all information into Company maintenance software
  • Maintain open communication with other departments and leadership to ensure fluid and effective operations
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the maintenance shops through regular inspections and preventive maintenance programs
  • Perform other job responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Valid Certificate of Qualification (310T) or Red Seal (preferred)
  • Three (3) or more years of heavy diesel truck maintenance experience (preferred)
  • One (1) or more years of lead technician or supervisory experience (preferred)
  • Microsoft Office experience

  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet time sensitive deadlines
  • Knowledge of all tools required to perform repairs and maintenance on vehicles
  • Full set of hand tools required.
  • Work utilizing personal protective equipment, including hearing protection, safety-toed boot, utility gloves, reflective vest, hearing and eye protection, hard hat, etc.
  • Physical ability to lift at least 50 pounds as needed and maintain steady work pace

Education:

  • Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

  • heavy diesel truck maintenance: 3 years (preferred)
  • Supervisory or lead technician experiance: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (preferred)
  • 310T (preferred)
