Kasohkowew Child Wellness Society (2012) provides statutory Child Intervention services to the community of Samson Cree Nation located in Maskwacis, Alberta, 85 kilometers south of Edmonton. We are currently seeking to hire delegated Caseworker Generalist (s).

Reporting to the Casework Supervisor, you will be responsible to provide a consistently high level of direct services to children and families in need of child intervention services. To meet the challenges of this position you will need to integrate your experience and knowledge with First Nations Children and Families with your Child Intervention experience.

Qualifications:

  • Must have Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) or Indigenous Bachelor of Social Work (IBSW) or other related discipline with a minimum three (3) years’ diversified Child Intervention experience.
  • Must be eligible to become a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with Alberta College of Social Workers.
  • Must have knowledge of the Child, Youth and Family Enhancement Act (CYFEA), and the Enhancement Policy.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Child Intervention Case Information Online (CICIO).
  • Must submit three (3) work related reference letters.
  • Own transportation, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel.
  • Must submit a clear Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Check, Intervention Record Check (ISIS), and driver’s abstract with resume.
  • Ability to speak Cree and knowledge of the Cree Culture is an asset.
