Journeyman Millwright

Job Description CEDA is currently seeking a Journeyman Millwright to join the Mechanical team in a field-based position in Conklin AB.  What We Offer 14x14 shift schedule and 12 hour days Wage of $52.00 per hour Excellent benefits and matching pension contributions starting on your first day! Key Duties and Responsibilities Perform routine and preventative maintenance to all rotating and stationary equipment; pumps, cooling fans, compressors and turbines Perform pipe strain management using: critical laser flange, optical alignment, dial-indicators, ensuring proper pipe support and thermal indicators Execute scopes of work in accordance with Federal and Provincial standards Install, dismantle and overhaul facility and field equipment such as pumps, automated and robotic systems, electrical controls, conveyor systems, power tools, hydraulic systems, emissions controls, mechanical clutches, gear boxes, hydraulic and pneumatic control systems Repair, fabricate or replace defective machinery components and facilitate follow up testing on repairs Assist operations in the start up and shutdown of equipment according to appropriate safety procedures and governing standards on the Conoco Surmont site Interpret schematics and read service manuals to determine work procedures Interpret schematics and read service manuals to determine work procedures Establish and communicate task lists, order parts, and bill of materials required for scopes of work Ensure all health, safety and environment practices and paperwork are complete for all day to day activities Other duties as assigned   Role Specifications Journeyman Millwright certification required 3-5 years’ experience working on a SAGD facility Class 5 Driver’s licence required with no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 years Ability to read and understand piping and instrument diagrams Ability to complete a pre-employment drug & alcohol test Perform physically demanding work including climbing multiple flights of stairs and carrying equipment (able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis) The following tickets are required: H2S Alive CSO certification or CSTS2020 Basic First Aid Additional Information The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.  They are not intended to be an exhausted list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required.
