What Will You Do?

• Supervisor the recruitment process, ensuring that is efficient and effective.
• Develop and Implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
• Lead, coach, manage and mentor our recruitment team to meet Erb’s business requirements.
• Track all hiring requests and approvals, working with recruiters and managers on maintaining the analytics of hiring requests.
• Create recruitment target goals each year, track and monitor the progress, and making adjustments as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and up to date recruitment records
• Ensure recruitment policies and procedures are followed and ensure positions are filled efficiently and effectively.
• Research best practices and trends; perform analysis on effectiveness, competitiveness, and fairness of existing programs. Present findings and thoughtful alternative solutions that are aligned with Erb.
• Establish and work with agencies, organization, training schools and other sources to develop positive relations on behalf of Erb as well as stay informed on best practices.
• Continuously drive improvement and efficiency within the service model.
• Coordinate advertising and branding with Communications and HR Manager
• Guide and support the recruitment team in development conversation and facilitate learning experiences.
• Manage vacation and ensure coverage. This means you may will need to support the team at times by recruiting side-by-side.
• Review all invoices related to recruitment.
• Create and provide training for team and managers on best recruitment practices.
• Ensure compliance with employment guidelines per company policies, federal regulations, and DOT regulations.
• Analyse exit survey data and make recommendations on retention practices.

Who Are We Looking For?

• Post-secondary education in Human Resources either diploma or degree
• HR designation or working towards HR designation is an asset, (CHRP or CHRL)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the Human Resources / Recruitment field. Previous experience in the trucking industry is an asset. (Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be evaluated).
• Previous experience in a supervisory role is required
• Excellent understanding of recruitment processes.
• Proficiency in using an applicant tracking system (ATS)
• Critical thinker and problem solver
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and high level of attention to detail
• Ability to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment and work under pressure.
