About The Opportunity

Join a leadership team that is passionate about delivering quality health care to their patients. You provide leadership, collaborate, and develop partnerships internally and externally with stakeholders to lead the financial performance reporting, corporate budget development and variance analysis for the corporation. As the Manager of Financial Services team you are accountable for the functioning of the daily accounting operations, internal controls, analysis and reporting of the department under the direction and review of the Vice President of Finance & Corporate Services, CFO.

In support of the organizational goals the Manager of Financial Services is an integral member of the leadership team and provides a link between financial services and the Senior Leadership team. The Manager is responsible for developing and leading a team of direct reports that responds to hospital, and external government reporting and legal requirements. The Manager ensures that the department’s goals are consistent with the organization’s vison, strategic plan and annual corporate objectives.

  • CPA Designation (CA,CMA, CGA) required with an undergraduate degree in finance and/or equivalent
  • Minimum 3-5 years demonstrated financial reporting & analytical experience in an accounting environment
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with demonstrated attention to detail & professionalism.
  • Hospital financial management experience in a unionized environment preferred
  • Facilitation skills and can coordinate multiple deadlines, create cohesive teams, and respond quickly to requests.
  • Excellent oral & written communications, are organized & possess solid time management skills
  • Experience with implementation & enhancement of accounting software systems preferred
  • Advanced working knowledge of financial systems and MS Office suite.
