Description The Payroll Administrator, Payroll Canada will support Canada PSC Activities including Payroll Administration, Time & Attendance, and Workday adoption. With a customer centric focus, the PSC Payroll Partner will maintain all cases in a timely and accurate manner and develop outstanding relationships based on delivery and trust.Key Responsibilities Processing Timely and accurate payroll for ~650 Canadian employees. Take ownership of resolving regional issues and ensuring root causes are reviewed and resolved. Partner across HR community on projects, initiatives and promoting Workday Direct Access.Maintain and process Pension Benefits and coordinate with any Benefits vendors to ensure employee benefits are activated and managed according to benefit plans and policies. Additionally managing any regulatory reporting per country for benefits to be filed in line with deadlines. Administration and coordination between HR Operations and Payroll Vendor (BPO provider) to ensure flow and maintenance of employee data (including preparation/distribution of detailed reports, e.g. overtime, leave balances, and retirement contribution reports.Manage the payroll vendor in line with input and approvals and to ensure timely approvals and payments. Partnering with finance on payment of salaries and all relevant payroll payments and reporting. Ensure agreed controls of payroll checks and supporting evidence are recorded per payroll cycle. Have a continuous improvement mindset to support further effective and efficient changes to HR processes, procedures and controls. Optimize current process by way of process mapping, documenting, automating (partnering with IT on integrations)Facilitate transformation and change to ensure smooth transition of accountabilities and scope.Build a global Compliance and Audit - ensuring all processes and functional have correct approval and supporting documents.Ad-hoc duties as per HR transformation and requirements.Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Finance or related field, or equivalent experience. 4+ years of experience in HR or Finance office serving in payroll, systems, and administration. Language requirements: English /FrenchDesjardins and UKG payroll system experience preferred. Workday experience strongly preferred. Experience in a shared services environment or Global Business Service (GBS).Highly organized, detail oriented, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills.
