Robert Half is looking to hire an Accounting Clerk for a department at a company in the Wholesale Distribution industry. The Accounting Clerk duties will include matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a short-term contract / contract / contract / temporary to hire  employment based in the Langley, British Columbia area. How you will make an impact - Rectify discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required - Group documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes - Assemble statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources - Companywide accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects - Collaborate with Accounts Receivable: apply cash receipt, process daily invoices/credit, and help with collection of past due balance - Post financial information to journals and ledgers - Help Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing Job Requirements: - AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred - Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data - Ability to multitask effectively - 1+ years of relevant experience - Skilled in Spreadsheet and ERP system - Accounts Payable (AP) experience - Bank reconciliations experience - Deep understanding of general ledger - Microsoft Excel experience preferred To be considered for this contract role, click the “Apply Now!” link or by using the Robert Half mobile app. Download it on the App Store or get it on Google Play today!
