Toromont Cat is looking for a Service Supervisor to join the team! The Service Supervisor is responsible for scheduling, coordinating, implementing repairs needed or requested to both surface and underground mining equipment. The supervisor, working with the Project Manager will quote requested repairs and form part of the commercial sales team. Being involved from initial repair process with customer/representative, throughout and then reviewing part of invoicing at the end with follow-up if needed. Ensure the Technician completes repairs safely. Also, quoting repair requested and possibly needing after inspection. Being involved from initial repair process with customer/representative, throughout and then review part of invoicing at the end with follow-up if needed. Ensure the Technician completes repairs safely. The Supervisor should also be available to follow up with the customer and be sure that they are satisfied with the end-results, or to take in any customer concerns.Health and Safety leadership and supervision to the higher of the Toromont or mine site standards. Key focus on but not limited to positive safety interactions, hazard identification, lock out and zero energy audits, working at heights compliance with rescue plans, hot work permits. Ensure incidents are investigated in a timely fashion and corrective actions completed and implemented. Regular Job Safety Hazzard Assessment reviews of each employee throughout the work shift.Initially provide a key contact between the customer/representative and the service department. To provide the customer with unparalleled service. (Coordinator deals with administration, Supervisor deals with customers’ requests directly on a routine basis).Analyze and Plan the required repairs needed as economically as possible for the customer with a quote up front and keep control of the job so it is profitable in the end. Coach technicians for desired result and their career development.Communicate progress and issues along the way to stakeholders (Customer, Scheduler, Caterpillar, PSSR, Operations’ Manager, KAM).Work order management including job opening, warranty administration, warranty line entry, product problem management tracking. Schedule technician technical training and safety training to meet changes in fleet size and composition or changes in Toromont, Customer or legislated standards.Attend various customer meetings and support projects in such areas as surface and underground production and maintenance , parts planning, long component strategies, continuous improvement, health and safety, environmental impact.
