Position : Payroll Specialist Duration: 12 Months Work Environment : Hybrid Location : Calgary Salary : Up to $85,000

Position Overview : Our client in the O&G sector seeks an experienced Payroll Specialist for a 12-month contract in Calgary.

What You'll Do : Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Manage processes for new hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations. Handle T4s, ROEs, and year-end reconciliations, adhering to Canadian tax laws. Oversee group pension and benefits programs. Be the primary contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits and payroll related questions. Participate in payroll audits, ensuring financial accuracy and risk mitigation.

Basic Qualifications : 5+ years in payroll and benefits administration. Familiarity with Canadian payroll tax laws and regulations. Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications : Payroll Certification (National Payroll Institute) preferred. Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Ability to handle sensitive situations ethically and adapt to new processes.
