Determination – We kick down walls. Reporting to the Warehouse General Manager and Delivery Manager, the Warehouse Assistant Manager, located in Langford , is responsible for the performance of both warehouse and delivery team. The successful candidate would be an ambassador for our “Safety First” culture, while providing high quality training to all new/current hires, creating relationships across all departments, and upkeeping a high level of customer service. The Warehouse Assistant Manager will also demonstrate effective leadership by being a strong mentor, Caring for others, Integrity in daily activities, Authenticity to peers, Determination to drive culture and Improvements. Responsibilities·Oversee day to day operations of Warehouse & Delivery departments in our Langford and Nanaimo facilities with support from Warehouse & Delivery Supervisors at each location·Assist Delivery teams with training coordination and customer service guidance·Collaborate with Purchasing & Sales to ensure appropriate on hand inventory·Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle count programs·Manage delivery fleet and MHE maintenance programs·Manage branch P&L·Aid in hiring, employee training & development, and discipline·Monitor and report on KPI and operational metrics·Travel between Langford & Nanaimo as requiredRequired Skills·Minimum 3 years Management experience·Warehouse Management OR Logistics & Supply Chain Diploma ·Proficient in the use of MS Office·Current or previous forklift certification·Familiar with WMS & RF systems·Valid class 5 driver’s license·Excellent verbal and written communication ·Strong organizational, time management, leadership, and customer service skills·Strong Health & Safety backgroundPassionate About·Actively facilitating change management within the department·Coaching and developing the warehouse & delivery teams to achieve goals and objectives·Encouraging and promoting continuous improvement·Working with others to achieve individual and shared team goals·Working through tight deadlines while change is a constant·Taking the initiative to make improvements and communicate changeWork Environment·Warehouse environment·Travel required, approximately one day per week·Schedule Tuesday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM$80,000 - $90,000 a yearINDHPWe inspire possibilities, make shopping ridiculously easy, and help create special moments at home.
