Project Manager – Millwork Division   SAJO is a leading Project management firm specializing in interior retail construction . SAJO is also a full service retail fixture resource firm that supplies value engineering, prototyping, manufacturing and rollout management internationally.   SAJO is in search of dynamic individuals for the position of Director of Production. This position reports to the VP Operations and is located in Montreal. Candidates must reside in Montreal or outskirts.    Requirements: Candidates must have at least 10 to 15 years in custom millwork and metal production experience and a minimum of 7 years in an administrative position as an estimator.  Candidates must have thorough knowledge of the standard methods, equipment, materials, tools, and practices of the cabinetmaking and custom millwork.   Candidates are required to have good oral and written communication in both French and English and have well developed organizational, management and leadership skills. Responsibilities: Assist client in developing design criteria in order to produce shop drawings. Read and understand shop drawings and generate take-offs of millwork/metal and component requirements. Monitor status of completed / approved shop drawings and ensure shop drawings are completed on time, are accurate and respect all required information. Be responsible for project feasibility and all aspects of cost estimating for reviewing shop drawings to providing material takeoffs and establishing budgets.  Prepare and review bid documents. Prepare report on required materials, suppliers and cost projections.  Negotiate and award contracts with respective suppliers in order to comply with pre-determined production schedules and adherence to quality standards. Prepare breakdown of all parts / components required for the complete production.  Coordinate production and shipping activities and ensure shipping schedules are respected. Write up work orders for shop fabrication and liaise with production staff to ensure specified  quality standards. Monitor work progress to assess compliance to standards and specifications. Establish production schedules and revise schedules to reflect design changes, backlogs or delays. Monitor and track reception of components produced/received/shipped. Document production, transportation, schedules, delays, changes, and other information related to the project. Responsible for managing and overseeing the execution of orders from production to packaging and logistics. Develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with others.
