Position Summary: Elite Developments is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to lead planning applications for residential and commercial projects. This role focuses on ensuring a successful approval process and project delivery. As a Project Coordinator, you will oversee the planning, executing, and monitoring of our projects in the development stage from pre-consultation until the building permit is obtained.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Lead the planning and development process throughout the project lifecycle for residential and commercial projects, from post-acquisition to the start of construction.
  • Applications Process: Manage the municipal approvals processes, including Official Plan Amendment (OPA), Zoning By-law Amendment (ZBA), Draft Plan of Subdivision, Draft Plan of Condominium, Site Plan Approval (SPA), Committee of Adjustment applications (CofA), Minor Variance applications, and Building Permit applications, and support HCRA licensing and Tarion applications.
  • Team Management: Build and lead a diverse project team of professionals, including retaining and monitoring the services of architects, engineers and consultants.
  • Performance Oversight: Monitor the project’s soft cost budget and cash flow. Monitor the project’s schedule timeline.
  • Risk Management: Identify risks and challenges affecting the project’s time, cost, and quality. Implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize the impact on project objectives.
  • Project Engagement: Maintain effective communication and relationships with all project stakeholders, including community representatives, municipal staff, and team members. Manage conflicts or challenges that arise during the project’s lifecycle.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Provide regular reports on project status, progress, and deliverables to senior management. Ensure comprehensive project documentation is maintained throughout the project's lifecycle.

 

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a real-estate-related field, such as urban planning, architecture, or civil engineering, is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the real estate development industry, with a proven track record of leading successful residential and commercial projects.
  • In-depth real estate development industry knowledge, including planning, design, and construction.
  • Exceptional leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams and prioritize multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
