We are seeking a passionate and experienced Hairdressing Teacher to join our team and instruct students in grades 11 and 12. As a Hairdressing Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive lessons that cover a range of topics including hair cutting, styling, coloring, and salon management. POSTING DETAILS Position - Hairdressing Teacher Grade(s) - 11 and 12. Start Date - September 2024 Schedule - Full time (guaranteed hours) Employment - Permanent Location - Aldergrove Community Secondary School REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor of Education degree, or equivalent training A valid Teacher Regulation Branch Certificate, or in progress Two years of experience as an instructor in hairdressing training program Five years of successful hairdressing/salon management experience Certificate in hairdressing including relevant coursework Eligibility for membership in Cosmetology Industry Association of BC A relevant methodology course Or equivalent training, or experience For your application to be considered, all required documents must be included: Resume Cover Letter (please elaborate on your experience) A copy of your transcript (official or unofficial) for your program A copy of the credential received after completing your teaching program A copy of your certificate in hairdressing A copy of your Certificate of Qualification (from the TRB to teach in BC) Email addresses for a minimum of three references (ideally, managers from your most recent/relevant role) For applicants who are in the process of completing their teaching program, some of the above documents may be 'pending' at the time of submission; however, the application will still be considered.
